I was diagnosed with 3A type Breast cancer. We were more worried about the post effects of treatment than the surgery. I was also afraid of losing my hair. Instead of surfing the internet, I directly asked my doctor if there is any medicine available to prevent hair-fall. She told me that hair-fall is a good sign! There were times when I couldn’t taste food after the chemo and felt weak also. It wasn’t that easy to deal with. Post treatment, my life is much better and richer in experience. There is no fear and more confidence. I would say that, there are many untrusted sources available online that mislead people, it is recommended to clear all doubts with your consultant when diagnosed. Don’t google. Don’t blindly trust unproven sources on internet. Cancer is a mind game, I think. The medicine will work better if you are positive and consulted in time.

I was 49 when I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Aggressive breast cancer. It had reached the lymph nodes. So, I underwent a few tests like sonography and mammography. Thereafter I was operated for breast cancer. There was the time when I collapsed after 3 rd chemo session. I was hospitalized and declared dead. But it is a miracle only that I am alive today! Patients – survivors keep their cancer secret to them. Never hide your diagnosis. Sharing your battle with cancer can help spread awareness. It can save many lives and inspire others to fight in all odds.
